有时候你不能不怀念大家都在探索film这个medium的年代，everything is so young and so full of possibilities。Clair这套visual（非叙事）却奇妙地为日后无数“正统”叙事提供了模版，算是surrealist/avant-garde的讽刺之处？不过这部里自我探索的association和mysticism的连接非常有趣，尤其是（maybe “unconsciously”）出现的penetration/intrusive act juxtaposed with phallic shape，and then there's the whole notion of “city” being phallic，très super
